meta.relations and the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from the European Union

meta.relation's commitment to privacy

The European Union GDPR will enter into force on 25 May 2018. It will influence the way organisations collect and store data from EU citizens. meta.relations welcomes this possibility and undertakes to protect personal data used in our communication database meta.crm. We ensure that meta.relations and our clients meet our obligations with regard to this data.

What is the GDPR?

The GDPR combines and modifies the data protection requirements of all EU countries. It is intended to improve the handling of personal data. The GDPR is designed to protect the rights of every EU citizen.

There are many new or extended requirements, but the basic principles remain unchanged. New regulations have broadened the definition of personal data and extended its scope to every company. Organisations outside the EU that collect personal data from individuals in the EU are also affected. Our related positions, commitments and responsibilities are described in the privacy notices and policies set out below.

What do you as a customer have to do?

If you are already a customer and have not yet received them, you will shortly receive our updated data processing regulations to ensure that we and our customers meet our respective obligations under the GDPR. Please check them and return them as soon as possible.

This page offers you further information about the GDPR, but if you have questions that are not answered here, please contact privacy@meta-relations.de.
